Young people and adults who were unable to complete basic education have the opportunity to complete secondary education studying from home.

Sesi is offering a thousand places for the Professional EJA (Youth and Adult Education) program, in which the student completes regular education and also receives a professional qualification.

The classes will be completely free and offered in the Distance Learning (EAD) model with some face-to-face meetings. The vacancies are distributed across seven units in the State: Aracruz, Araçás (Vila Velha), Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Civit (Serra), Colatina, Linhares and Jardim da Penha (Vitória).

Throughout this year, there will be four calls for interested parties to sign up. Each call for 250 vacancies, practically 35 for each of the units.

The first has already started and the candidate can fill out the registration form on the website sesies.com.br/eja until March 29th. Other calls will take place in May, August and October.

The distance learning model was designed especially for adult students to complete high school quickly and effectively in up to 18 months.

Enrolled students will also automatically take a professional qualification course offered in partnership with Senai-ES.

The course will be for production controller and programmer or quality control assistant, depending on the unit where you enroll.

Program

Ralf Barros, Basic Education analyst at Sesi and responsible for the New EJA professionalizing high school education, explains that the difference in this program is the format in which 80% of classes are online and only 20% are in person.

“As the new EJA is free of charge and the student has flexibility to study, with just one class per week. This allows more people who have not yet had the opportunity to complete their studies”, emphasizes Ralf Barros.

Jakeline Lopes, 45 years old, was one of the people who managed to complete high school through the new EJA program in 2022. After that, she started the Pedagogy course and is currently doing an internship in the area at Sesi Araçás.

Registrations

In the first EJA call, the candidate must complete the registration of interest by March 29th (next Friday) on the website sesies.com.br/eja. Other calls will take place in May, August and October.

Students will be called to enroll until November 29, 2024, depending on availability in the units.

Interested parties must be 18 years old by the date of registration.

Vacancies

What will the course be like?

Classes will take place online, four days a week. To participate in EAD classes, the student must have a computer or notebook with internet access, webcam and microphone.

In-person activities, classes and assessments are also planned, which represent 20% of the course’s total workload. In-person meetings will now be held once a week.
