King Charles III, 75 years old, who is facing a battle against prostate cancer, has had a significant worsening in his health. The information is from The Daily Beast website.

According to the website, a source close to the British royal family claims that the king’s health is worrying and that, as a result, the details surrounding Charles III’s funeral have been updated frequently.

The source also says that the script, which has hundreds of pages, began to be prepared the day after the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, Charles’ mother, who died at the age of 96 on September 8, 2022.

It is worth remembering that Charles has remained away from the spotlight since publicly announcing his cancer, as has his daughter-in-law. Kate Middletonwife of Prince William, who is also undergoing treatment for the disease, but without revealing the location or type of cancer.

“It’s clear he’s determined to beat the disease and they’re betting everything on that. Everyone remains optimistic, but he is in really bad shape, more so than they are letting on,” a source close to the Daily Beast told The Daily Beast.

With constant updates, the dossier of details surrounding Charles III’s funeral is titled Operation Menai Bridge, following the tradition of naming funeral plans with bridges. That of Queen Elizabeth II, for example, was called Operation London Bridge. In the case of Charles III, the Menai Bridge is a suspension bridge that connects the island of Anglesey to the Welsh mainland.

“The plans have been reviewed and are constantly being updated,” said the source, who guarantees that all the details have been passed on so that no unforeseen events happen and it is even more organized and safer than the mother’s.

The website also says that military officials confirm the frequent updating of Charles III’s dossier, but emphasize that this is standard procedure and that “it would be absurd to interpret anything else from this”.

“Of course they are looking at every aspect of the Menai Bridge. The Queen’s funeral went like clockwork and set a high standard. It’s not an emotional thing, it’s a job taken very seriously and it’s absolutely understandable that no one plans to be caught off guard,” an official involved in planning royal funerals told the Daily Beast.

“You need a massive security operation because all the most important people on the planet are going to be there. We are talking about an entire apparatus, from anti-missile defenses to protection against an isolated attack. And as any death can happen suddenly, every detail must be meticulously planned in advance,” said a source.
