The newest group of doctors from the Medical Residency Program at Hospital de Base Luís Eduardo Magalhães (HBLEM), an institution managed by the Itabuna Health Care Foundation (FASI), participated in the XX Introductory Seminar on Medical Residency in the State of Bahia. The event took place on Friday, the 3rd, at the Hotel Bahia Fiesta in Salvador.

Promoted by the Bahia Health Department (SESAB), through the State Medical Residency Commission (CEREM), the in-person and virtual Seminar was organized by the Medical Residency Commission (COREME) of the Hospital de Base, through the preceptors of the General Surgery Residencies and Medical Clinic, Danilo Caires and Stephânia Margotto, respectively, under the supervision of the secretary of COREME HBLEM, Paula Mendes.

Doctors Anne Tavares Silvi, Cléise Souza Gomes, Roberta Lins Medauar, Talita Fraga de Azevedo from the Medical Residency in Clinical Medicine, in addition to doctors Marília Medeiros Nóbrega and Mylena Gomes from the Medical Residency in General Surgery, participated in the Seminar via online transmission in the Room of Conferences at AFYA Faculty of Medical Sciences of Itabuna.

The Seminar, which took place throughout the day, highlighted topics such as “Medical Residency in Brazil”, “Medical Advertising and Propaganda” and “Biosafety for Resident Doctors”. The event ended with a joint activity with the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Bahia (CREMEB) on Medical Ethics.
