City Hall prepares delivery of CAPS Infantil for June; investment exceeds R$ 2.6 million

Strengthening health care, Arapongas City Hall has speeded up the construction of the Children’s Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS-i), in the Jardim Lorena region. According to the Municipal Department of Works, Transport and Urban Development (Seodur), the work has reached 80% completion. The completed stages include leveling and grounding, installation of walls and gates, physical structure already advanced, with installation of windows and glass, application of internal flooring, in addition to the execution of logical structures and electrical and hydraulic installations. The final stages should consist of general finishes and the entire external area – such as the patio, parking lot and others. The structure has been installed on land close to CAIC, in the Jardim Lorena region. The project is expected to be fully completed in June.
Mayor Sérgio Onofre highlights the concern of municipal management in caring for children and adolescents. “Our attention is focused on physical health, but also on mental health. The municipality already has CAPS II and CAPS AD. And now, we will have this space completely dedicated to children and teenagers”, he highlights.
The Secretary of Health, Moacir Paludetto Jr, reaffirms the commitment and commitment to delivering more work aimed at humanized care. “We are already planning the steps for installing the furniture and also the items that will equip the new CAPS’i. The new location will add positively to the care and psychosocial rehabilitation process of our children and adolescents”, he highlighted.

INVESTMENT
The work is budgeted at R$ 2,699,535.76, of which federal deputy Luciano Ducci (PSB) provided R$ 1.48 million for civil construction and another R$ 20 thousand for the acquisition of equipment, a process that It is also coordinated by councilor Márcio Nickenig. The remainder of the budget (R$ 1,631,535.76) is matched by the municipality.

SERVICES
The new CAPS-i is the first in Arapongas to offer exclusive and specialized services in the care of children and adolescents, with several specialties, such as psychologists, doctors, nursing staff, pharmacists, social workers and professionals for psychomotor activities, giving the necessary support for children and adolescents, with strategic psychosocial care.
The new CAPS-i will have a construction area of ​​791.87 m². Among the main spaces are two external living areas, reception – reception space, auditorium with 42 seats, cafeteria, common space, kitchen, two collective activity rooms, three individual care rooms, nursing station, meeting room, toilets (also adapted), nursing station, administration room, pharmacy, application room, shared room, bathrooms, utility room, gardens, parking, warehouse, circulation areas, balcony, kitchen, among others.
