Journalist who revealed that Father Marcelo Rossi lives in a R$18 million house is sued – Zoeira

After a news website claimed that Father Marcelo Rossi was living in a mansion valued at R$ 18 millionthe religious decided to react and sue the author of what he called false and unfounded information. An action requesting explanations was filed at the Central Criminal Forum of Barra Funda, in São Paulo, according to the columnist for Folha de S. PauloMonica Bergamo, this Tuesday (3).

In the action, Rossi’s lawyers ask the Court to question the author of the article whether he carried out the home real estate value assessmentthe residence was visited and the authenticity of the published images was verified.

Aaron Tura, the accused journalist, stated that he was not aware of the action and mentioned that he did not publish any publications about the priest in the year 2024. The lawsuit argued that the images released were taken from a YouTube videodated 2020 (and already taken offline).

In the video you can see the house, with a beautiful facade and large door, high ceilings and spacious rooms. With approximately 2 thousand square meters, the property has nine bedrooms, six bathrooms, dining room, guest room, swimming pool and even its own gym.

Although the news was published in June 2022, it only went viral this year after the newspaper The globe reference Aaron Tura’s website, in a February report. The priest then began to be criticized on social media for the supposed mansion, responding to some comments stating: “Against fake news: prayer and the truth set you free”.
