The National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS) issued new guidelines on portability of needs for Unimed-Rio beneficiaries who were transferred to Unimed FERJ. According to the agency, beneficiary data is still in the migration process and is not available in the ANS Health Plan Guide system, a tool used to research health plans in the supplementary health market.

To exercise the right to portability, former Unimed-Rio beneficiaries must observe some specific guidelines.

When accessing the ANS Guide to Health Plans for Portability of Needs, they need to enter the registration number of the operator Unimed FERJ, as well as the registration number of the health plan they had with Unimed-Rio, as shown on their card or contract.

In addition, they must confirm that the beneficiary’s link to the plan is active, indicate the reason for portability – in this case, the change of plan at the beneficiary’s choice – and inform the date of joining the Unimed-Rio operator.

To support consumers in this process, ANS provided a specific channel through its telephone call center. Beneficiaries can call Dial ANS on 0800 701 9656, where they will find a directing option to clarify doubts about transferring the wallet between operators. The service is free and available from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm, except on national holidays.

ANS also maintains other customer service channels, such as the Contact Us electronic form at the Consumer Service Center, on the ANS website, in-person centers in the five regions of the country (with online scheduling via the ANS website) and a call center exclusively for the hearing impaired, on 0800 021 2105.
