A CASACOR Bahiaan exhibition of architecture, art, interior design and landscaping, will take place in the second half of 2024 and will occupy the former Bahia Othon Palacea hotel development opened in 1975 and which, for more than 40 years, has been part of the history of the capital of Bahia.
Two events this week mark the schedule for this year’s edition before its official opening. The first of these is the lecture “As a Gift, Now”theme of the exhibition, taught by its curator, Peter Ariel. The meeting will take place on Monday (29), at 4pm, at the ITC Business Auditorium, in Stiep. On this occasion, the speaker will lead guests through an immersion in trends and innovations in design and architecture.
The following day, CASACOR Bahia will hold its Open House at Bahia Othon Palace, in Ondina. The guided tour season runs until May 3rd, from 9am to 4pm. Magali Santanathe exhibition’s franchisee in Bahia, will provide a complete experience for visitors, allowing them to explore the edition’s new features first-hand.

During the period, the masterplan signed by the architect from Bahia will be presented Nildo José. The idea is for the public to delve deeper into the essence of the state when getting to know the space. “The intention is to go beyond architecture, involving visitors in a broad experience that honors and values the richness of Bahian culture, making CASACOR Bahia a new pocket of cultural activation in Salvador”he says in an interview with Hello Hello Bahia.
The choice of Bahia Othon Palace reiterates the objective. “We chose this place not only for its beauty and historical significance, but for its incredible ability to represent the vibrancy and identity of our state. This year’s masterplan is a celebration of our culture; it honors Bahian diversity and brings it to the center of the CASACOR stage”says Magali Santana. “It is vital for us to highlight this rich cultural construction in our event, showing how design and architecture can dialogue harmoniously with the place that hosts them”.

The property where the hotel operated had 280 beds on 12 floors, with a privileged view of the Ondina waterfront, a tourist area in the capital of Bahia, and very popular during the carnival period, as it is located within one of the official festival circuits. Othon also housed a convention center for holding events.
