The actor Lima Duarte turned 94 years old in recent days and received a tribute from Globehe debuted on the program Tribute to Lima Duarte, available in the Globoplay catalogue. In the work, the actor tells his story, receives testimonials from co-stars and even comments on death. Among the names that appear in the documentary are renowned artists, such as Laura Cardoso, Zezé Motta and Manuel Carlos.

“In memory, the territory of emotion, I find great things that are worth my soul, that save my spirit, that give me life. I always come back, I come back all day long, I live from the past. What is the future for me? Around the corner, what’s waiting for me? Death. I’m no idiot, I’m 94 years old. But what’s left, that’s what pushes me. It makes me laugh, it feeds me. That’s all ”, reflects Lima Duartein a certain part of the production.

Throughout the Tributenotable moments in the actor’s career are revisited, such as, for example, the time he was invited to be a candidate for vice president with Mario Covas (1930-2001) after resounding success as Sassá Mutema in The Savior of the Fatherland (1989). There are also moments of great nostalgia for the time he acted in Roque Santeiro (1985). The actor keeps the car that has been in the soap opera to this day.

Most of the program’s filming took place at the Lima Duarte in Indaiatuba, in the interior of São Paulo, where he currently lives.
