Frankie Muniz, former child star of the 2000s, didn’t earn the label “most powerful teenager in Hollywood” for nothing at that time. At just 12, he debuted his first film; At 15, he started on the series that would be most responsible for his fame: ‘Malcolm in the Middle’.

Unlike many young stars, Frankie, who is now 38 years old, did not have a traumatic experience in Hollywood — moreover, she took full advantage of her success and managed to earn a lot of money.

During a conversation on the reality show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, Frankie Muniz addressed her relationship with haters and admitted that, sometimes, she chose to respond to them in kind.

“A boy wrote [para mim certa vez]: ‘I’m sorry, but your performance is just horrible'”, he detailed to the other participants in the program, before revealing his answer.

“And I was making a movie and I said, ‘Yes, it is, but you know what’s not horrible? Retiring at 19 with $40 million (currently, that amount would be worth about R$200 million). Good luck when leaving his mother’s house before he was 35”, he sniped at the critic at the time.

In the reality show, the actor admitted that he didn’t usually respond to haters, “but every now and then you have to fight back, you can only take a few punches before being knocked out,” he said. “I have to fight back, I’m human too. If you If you can attack, you need to be able to withstand it.”

In addition to revealing the high value accumulated in such a short time in his life, he also made it clear that he already has enough to never work again.

Frankie currently lives in Arizona with his wife and young son and is a professional race car driver.

When asked if he already has the money to retire completely, he didn’t hesitate: “100%.” “But I’m neurotically motivated. I have always worked since I was eight years old. I don’t know how to just live in the moment and not focus on what I’m going to do next,” he explained.

Frankie starred in the series ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ over 150 episodes between 2000 and 2006; he earned around US$150,000 per episode at the time.

The celebrity has also been in productions such as ‘The Greatest Liar’ (2002), ‘The Teen Agent’ (2003) and ‘Stay Alive: Saw’ (2006).

Despite all this, he recently explained to the Australian website News who preferred to stay away from Hollywood for his mental health.

“I never felt like I fully fit into the world of Hollywood, even though I was in the world. I was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe and I kept going to all these things, but I was like, ‘How am I here?'”

“I hated Los Angeles, so I kind of stayed in my own little world, my own bubble. And moving to Arizona, I did it on impulse, and I noticed immediately that I started looking up. I started appreciating the trees and birds in the sky. Going to the grocery store was fun. You don’t have that in LA. It’s a miserable experience.”

He also recently admitted that he would never let his son be an actor as a child: “And not because I had a bad experience, because, to be honest, my experience was 100% positive. But I know so many people, close friends, with insane negative experiences. I just think it ends up being a very hostile universe. I never minded rejection, but there is a lot of rejection.”
