The BYD Yuan Pro, the Chinese brand’s entry-level electric SUV, is confirmed in Brazil and could arrive later this year. The model is a variant of the Yuan Up and is similar in size to other popular compact utility vehicles here, such as the Volkswagen T-Cross and Nissan Kicks.

What BYD Yuan Pro is like
- BYD’s most affordable SUV is built on the e-Platform 3.0 architecture and measures 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, 1,675 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.
- The Yuan Pro has a front electric motor that produces 173 horsepower, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
- Its battery has 45 kWh of capacity. In the Chinese cycle (CLTC), the estimated range is 400 km per charge.
Inside, the cabin resembles that of the compact Dolphin, with an 8.8″ digital board and a 12.8″ rotating main screen. The list of equipment includes a head-up display, central console with induction charger, crystal gear selector and physical buttons to control adjustments without having to touch the entertainment center.
BYD Yuan Pro Launch
BYD’s entry-level SUV recently debuted on the Chinese market. The Yuan Pro is expected to arrive in Brazil by import by the end of 2024.
Price in Brazil
In China, the Yuan Pro was launched starting at 96,800 yuan in the most basic configuration, around R$68,300 at the current price. In Brazil, according to Insideevs, the model should be below the R$200,000 range.
