For those who are very attentive to details, you will immediately notice the subtle changes that BMW implemented in the i4 and 4 Series Gran Coupé. The models were revealed in the 2025 line with slight visual changes, interior updates and adopted an updated mild-hybrid package under the hood. But, he has a very eye-catching controversy with his buttons.

Externally, the 2025 i4 and 4 Series Gran Coupé have redesigned headlights with LED graphics that now feature boomerang-shaped DRLs. The grille is oval and large and looks like a shark’s mouth. Now, it has a chrome and matte finish in any version, even the M Sport package. On the sides, new 19 or 20 inch wheels are the eye-catchers.

Going to the rear, the lights get the laserlight set from the M4 CSL. If the customer opts for the M Sport kit, the BMW i4 or 4 Series Gran Coupé will have a lower bumper diffuser painted in glossy black. Another new feature is that the ends of the exhaust pipe have grown. Two new metallic colors were incorporated, Cape York green and Vegas red. In the cabin, the German brand reduced the number of physical buttons. Lately, this choice has generated public outrage. Now, some commands are made by touching the BMW Curved Display screen, as if it were a smartphone. The good news is that new finishes have been incorporated. The public can choose from brushed steel, wood and even galvanic finishes for the gear selector. The leather on the sports seats has also been improved and is standard on the models.

Under the hood, the combustion-powered BMW 4 Series has a 2.0 four-cylinder turbo engine and a 48V battery, which makes it a mild hybrid. Intake ports, combustion chambers, injection, ignition system and more components have been revised. This engine continues to deliver 255 hp and 40.7 kgfm of torque. The sporty M440i has a 3.0 in-line six-cylinder engine.

It is also a mild hybrid and its powertrain delivers 386 hp and 54.9 kgfm. This version equipped with rear-wheel drive goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and with four-wheel drive, the time drops to 4.3 seconds. The i4 is 100% electric and its data has not been revealed. The Series 4 and i4 models will be produced at the Munich plant, Germany and will hit stores in July this year.
