Simone Regina was run over by Lima Duarte in March 2023 and insists on trying to see the actor behind bars. However, this columnist discovered that the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo denied the Writ of Mandamus requested by the motorcyclist.

For those who don’t remember, in March last year, Simone Regina was run over by Lima Duarte on Avenida Antártica, in the Barra Funda region, in São Paulo. In an action for moral and material damages, she asked the court for compensation of R$1.2 million and accused the artist of embezzlement, procedural fraud, ideological falsehood and criminal association, but the crimes were ruled out by the police.

Within a year, the Court decided to archive the investigation against Lima Duarte. However, in documents obtained exclusively by the column, the motorcyclist appealed the decision and claimed that “the archiving was premature, as it was a case of producing other evidence”. Furthermore, she says that “only people linked to the alleged perpetrator of the criminal offense were interviewed” and “there was other evidence to be produced, with a view to effectively investigating the facts”.

Despite the attempt, the judge, Xavier de Souza, examined the decision that ordered the police investigation to be closed, and decided to reject the injunction request.

Even so, Simone Regina filed a new lawsuit against the approval of the archiving of the police investigation and stating that “there was other evidence to be produced, with a view to the effective investigation of the facts”.
