A Xiaomi officially introduced the SU7 EV electric car model in China, as you may already know. Well, this model is a sedan and its official announcement was a different move from what is done by other companies, which prefer to reveal SUVs first. However, it seems that the brand already has plans to launch a vehicle in this category.
As reported by the portal CNEVPost, the company’s second car should be announced later this year. The discussion about its first model being a sedan ended up generating a lot of discussion in recent months, but CEO Lei Jun stated that this category of car provides a better driving experience.
The executive also said that this type of car is better for better families. On the other hand, creating a good all-electric sedan is not an easy task and there are not many options on the current market. To give you an idea, the SU7 EV was launched for a starting price of RMB 215,900 (R$ 150,223).
Although the report states that the launch of Xiaomi’s first SUV will take place later this year, no information was revealed about what the vehicle’s appearance and mechanics will be like. So, all we can do is keep watching to find out the company’s next steps in relation to this next car.
