Interest and US dollar boosted companies

Several factors explain these increases, including American interest rates. The Federal Reserve (Fed), the central bank of the United States, warned that it will make three cuts in the country’s interest rate this year. This makes international investors seek better returns. Part of this money goes to the stock exchanges of emerging countries, which makes them appreciate in value.

As a result, small caps are the most sought after. Small Caps, on B3, are companies with lower trading volume. But they are generally growing companies that depend on investments. The drop in interest rates, both here and in the US, benefits these companies. From the list, Embraer, Petz, 3R and Cielo are small caps. But Embraer rose so much that its trading volume grew and it recently left the list, according to B3.

The dollar’s 3% rise this year helped. Embraer, for example, invoices in dollars. “It is a company that earns in dollars, which also explains the gains of Suzano and Klabin and also BRF, which also earn in American currency”, explains Phil Soares, head of stock analysis at Órama.

Embraer also benefits from increased sales. “The war in Ukraine and the resumption of commercial aviation caused the company to resume its sales”, explains Gustavo Cruz, strategist at RB Investimentos.
