♪ Starting tomorrow, September 2nd, the festival’s history Rock in Rio will gain new chapters with the 2022 edition. For now, the most picturesque shows and events of this history are relived by journalist Luiz Felipe Carneiro in the 472 pages of the book Rock in Rio – History – Behind the scenes, secrets, shows and madness that marked the biggest festival in the worldreleased by Globo Livros.

This is the updated and expanded edition of the original book put on the market in 2011, just before the fourth edition of the festival in Rio, held from September 23 to October 2 of that year, 2011. Since then, Rio editions have already been held. of 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019.

It is in the (more succinct) texts about the production, the backstage and especially the shows of these last five editions of the festival in the hometown of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – where the event came to the world in 1985 – that the news of the current edition resides. of the book, formatted with texts and a photo book at the end of the narrative (the 2011 edition was full of photos interspersed with texts).

Recounted in chronological order by Luiz Fernando Carneiro, the story of Rock in Rio is updated with descriptions of shows from the last five editions – peppered with the author’s opinions on the performances – and any revelations of behind-the-scenes anecdotes relating to egotrips and requirements of artists.

Finally, the story of Rock in Rio even gives a book that needs to be updated periodically because the show always goes on, adding other chapters to the saga of businessman Roberto Medina.
