How a soft drink label became the “protagonist” in a marriage proposal in SC

Caio Santos, resident of São José, in Greater Florianópolis, was successful after asking his girlfriend, Thaís Niedzwiecki, to marry him through a Pureza label, a traditional soft drink from Santa Catarina. The moment happened last Friday (19) and was shared on the couple’s social networks.

This was not the first time that Thaís received an order through a soft drink label. In October 2017, Caio asked her to be his girlfriend using the label of a Coca-Cola, an item that she still keeps today.

— When I met Thaís she really liked Coca-Cola Zero and that’s when the idea came up for the dating proposal to be a “simple” Coke with “Do you want to date me?” on the label. That was in October 2017 and they always commented that the request had been creative — says Caio.

Seven years later, the proposal, now marriage, also came on a soft drink label. The idea was inspired by the dating proposal and the work of Caio, who owns a Design agency, and has Pureza as his biggest client. The couple plans to get married in 2025.

— We joked that the marriage proposal, when it came, would have to be at a Purezinha… But that was kind of forgotten. The day before the order, I came to the office, created the new label, printed it, labeled it and took it away. Almost seven years later, also on a Friday she didn’t expect to do anything, she received another bottle. Much better and more special — explains Caio.
