Fire hits mattress factory in the interior of Amazonas; VIDEO | Amazon

Fire hit a mattress factory in Rio Preto da Eva, in the interior of Amazonas, in the early hours of this Saturday (27). The Fire Department responded to the incident around 4:30 am and contained the flames. See video.

Images show the flames spreading throughout the factory. During the fire, it is also possible to see an explosion, as the fire affects the local structures. As it is a mattress factory, where there are materials that are easily combustible, the flames spread quickly.

Seven vehicles were involved in fighting the fire.

The fire team reported that it was necessary to use 45 thousand liters of water to fight the fire. In total, seven vehicles were involved in the action.

“We sent fire teams from the capital to support the firefighting action, as it was large. Together, our military controlled and extinguished the flames. There were no victims at the scene”, reported Colonel Reinaldo Menezes, deputy general commander of CBMAM.

The factory had partial loss of structure. After extinguishing the fire, the aftermath procedure began, which will continue this Saturday morning in the fire area.
