The board of directors of Caixa Seguridade Participações (CXSE3) approved this Thursday, 9th, the distribution of interim dividends in advance equivalent to 90.88% of the net profit earned until March 31, 2024.
The value is R$840 million reais. The value per share is R$0.28.
Dividends will be paid on August 15, 2024 and will be based on the shareholding position on August 1, 2024, with shares being traded ex-dividends from August 2, 2024.
Profit in 1Q24
Caixa Seguridade presented a managerial net profit of R$924.3 million in the first quarter of 2024, growth of 12.7% compared to the same period in 2023.
It is worth noting that the managerial result considers the appropriation of results in accordance with the CPC 11 standard (IFRS 4), still adopted by the Private Insurance Superintendency (SUSEP), which is disclosed by the company in a complementary manner, maintaining comparability with performance reported in recent years. From an accounting perspective, in accordance with CPC 50 (IFRS 17), Caixa Seguridade had a net profit of R$855.7 million, growth of 5.1% compared to the first quarter of 2023.
The company recorded an ROE of 64.8% for the first quarter of 2024, 12.5 pp higher than the same period in 2023.
