Train collision leaves injured in Buenos Aires
A train on the light rail line in Buenos Aires, Argentina, collided with another when it derailed this Friday morning (10).
The crash occurred in Palermo and left 60 injured, two of them seriouslyaccording to emergency services in the Argentine capital.
According to the newspaper “Clarín”, the train was part of the San Martín line and ran towards Retiro station. The vehicle collided with another that was stopped in the same direction, on a bridge at Avenida Figueroa Alcorta.
According to the publication, the stopped train had no passengers and was maintaining the track.
Emergency services stated that “dozens” of people were injured, but did not report their health status until the last update of this report. Local media reported around 70 injuries.
According to the Associated Press news agency, emergency teams attended to several people lying on the ground at the scene.
