“The numbers don’t lie: today’s event is a huge show of strength,” said Jeffrey Katzenberg, the president’s campaign’s main fundraiser, in a statement in which he detailed that in a single party, Biden will raise more money than Trump in the entire month of February.
Biden’s coffers are fuller than his Republican opponent, who must use part of the resources raised among his supporters to pay legal expenses for the various cases opened against him.
Trump, 77, will sit in the dock again on April 15, in New York, to answer about the payment to buy the silence of a former porn actress in 2016, with whom he allegedly had an extramarital affair, which he always denied. This is one of four charges against him.
But his presence in Manhattan this Thursday will not be to defend himself in court, but to attend the wake of the police officer killed in the line of duty.
“I want to say to Agent Diller’s family and all the brave law enforcement officers who risk their lives every day: we love you, we appreciate you, and we will always be by your side,” Trump wrote on Tuesday on his social media site, Truth Social .
The Republican devotes much of his campaign rhetoric to attacking illegal immigration and criticizing his Democratic opponent for what he calls police negligence.
