We are here to listen to the public, understand their needs and thank the entire team that is present this Saturday, contributing to effectively improving people’s lives”, highlighted the governor.

She was born and raised in a flooded area, where the fight against floods was constant, resulting in the loss of her belongings almost annually, until she managed to move to Cidade do Povo in the dream of seeking a better life and becoming a relief, as ended the suffering caused by the floods of the Acre River. Now, Katiane lives with her children, facing life’s challenges with temporary jobs, but with a smile on her face and pride in her dignity.

“God blesses and we survive. And today I found these services here so important, because of the vaccinations that I came to catch up on and get my youngest girls’ IDs. They already need their documents, it’s important to have them. Sometimes we don’t have the money to go to the Center, to move around the city to get these services, so I’m really grateful for them being here in the neighborhood”, she reported alongside her daughters.

Another resident of the neighborhood, Diana Aquino has been in Cidade do Povo for almost six years. Recognized as a community leader, Diana observes improvements in the quality of life of residents, mainly in the new actions of the Military Police, which have brought more tranquility to the neighborhood and positive changes in the last seven months of management. Still, she highlights the need for this more attentive look, especially for children and women.

“It’s already a big evolution, right? We have this project here, because our neighborhood is very far from the Center, so everything we have to do, we have to feel and move around a lot. And together with this project that the government brought today, it is excellent, many women are being helped, all the people who are here need this service, and being closer everything is much better”, says Diana.
