A video published this Tuesday, March 26, on YouTube has been widely shared on social media as it shows a landing that caught attention, as can be seen below.

The pilots of an Airbus A321neo faced destabilization generated by the winds and the plane ended up touching the ground first with the nose gear, instead of the main gear assembly, as usual. Then, it flew for a few more moments before finally completing the landing:

The scene seen above was captured by the channel “Madeira Airport Spotting“, specializing in recording operations at Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport, in the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira, known for its challenging wind conditions.

As explained by the channel, it was a flight without passengers, TAP Air Portugal’s TP-9576, just for the transfer of the aircraft, registered CS-TJQ, to Madeira airport.

The landing took place around 08:00 today (Brasília time) and the A321neo was still in place until the publication of this article, at the end of the morning.
