“Tomorrow, Friday, at 9 am, Tainah’s two brothers and I are going to the Homicide Police Station to talk to the deputy to find out what’s going on. It’s 110 days tomorrow,” the journalist told GP1.
The court has yet to decide whether to extend the investigation.
More than a month after prosecutor João Mendes Benigno Filho, from the 13th Prosecutor’s Office, spoke out in favor of extending the investigation into the death of journalist Marcelo Rocha’s daughter, Tainah Luz Brasil Rocha, the Court has not yet decided on the extension of the investigation period.
The prosecutor’s statement was signed on July 17, 2022 at the request of delegate Nathália Figueiredo, head of the Femicide Nucleus of the Department of Homicide and Protection of the Person (DHPP).
Only after the analysis of the Justice, it will be possible to know if the investigation that investigates the case will have a new period of 30 days to be concluded. In the meantime, further due diligence should be carried out only after delay.
