‘hidden’ park in SC has sculptures by Oscar Niemeyer and other renowned artists

Modern art lovers can venture to Brusque, a city in the Itajaí Valley, where there is a park with sculptures made by renowned artists around the world. Having just completed 10 years, the Ilse Teske Sculpture Park is a hidden treasure in Santa Catarina.

In an area of ​​approximately 23 thousand square meters, visitors can freely move around the park, following their own itinerary, as well as photographing and appreciating the sculptures.

Open every day of the year between 9am and 9pm and with no admission fee, the park has in its collection 40 works carved in marble, by artists from various parts of the world, including the Brazilian Oscar Niemeyer.

According to the Brusquense Cultural Foundation, it is not uncommon to find people taking advantage of the pleasant days and having picnics outdoors, or simply enjoying nature among the lawns.

Located in the Mont Serrat neighborhood, on the banks of the Antônio Heil Highway, a few meters from the Fenarreco Pavilion, the park is the largest of its kind in the open air in South America.
