Rio City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Labor and Income (SMTE), announces this Monday (6/5) 1,328 new job vacancies for workers, with and without disabilities. There are 1,041 vacancies for workers in general and another 287 for people with disabilities.

Among the highlights of the week, 50 vacancies for merchandise restockers in establishments in Rio and Grande Rio, without any prior experience required. All you need to do is complete high school to apply.

The remaining jobs of the week are intended for candidates with or without previous experience, in various activities. There are vacancies for nannies (51), delivery drivers, cooks (40), baker, legal assistant (for workers with higher education), cleaning assistant, construction assistant and logistics assistant (these last three for PWDs), among many other professional opportunities.

– At the Workers’ Festival, which we promote on May 1st, we forwarded the CVs of two thousand workers to partner companies from different sectors. The job market in Rio is quite heated, with an increase of 150% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year, as shown by the Caged of the Ministry of Labor – highlighted the municipal secretary of Labor and Income, Everton Gomes, adding that, since the beginning of the current municipal administration, 280 thousand new opportunities have been created in the city.

In addition to job openings, internship opportunities are also offered to university students. This week, SMTE presents opportunities for students of Production Engineering, Accounting Sciences, Administration, Pedagogy, Advertising, Pharmacy, Journalism and Psychology in different regions of the city.

How to sign up:

Candidates can register online. It is no longer necessary to use code to fill out the form. People without internet access can register in person at one of the seven Worker Central offices, at the following addresses: Centro (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1997, at CIAD); Campo Grande (Rua Coxilha, s/nº); Engenho Novo (Rua Vinte Quatro de Maio, 931); Ilha do Governador (Estrada do Dendê, 2,080); Jacarepaguá (Av. Geremário Dantas, 1,400, rooms 248 and 268, at a new address); Santa Cruz (Rua Lopes de Moura, 58) and Tijuca (Rua Camaragibe, 25). The stations are open from 8am to 4pm. Candidates must bring their ID, CPF, PIS and CV to register.

People with disabilities have the option of sending their CV to email [email protected] or attend the CIAD, a reference in the search and offering of employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the municipality.

The secretariat is responsible for the Rio City Hall’s job bank and has over 400,000 CVs with a wide range of professional profiles.
