Star Wars KOTOR is “alive and in good health”, says Saber

The remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has had a very turbulent development; the remake was announced in September 2021 and, at the time, would be handled by Aspyr; however, it passed into the hands of Saber Interactive.

It is worth noting that, recently, Saber Interactive regained its independence and is no longer part of Embracer, having recently revealed that the remake is “alive and in good health”.

Speaking to IGN on Wednesday, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed that the KOTOR remake was in active development, with the studio retaining the project following its split from Embracer Group.

Karch said it was “clear and obvious” that Saber was still working on the game. “What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we are committed to ensuring that we exceed consumer expectations,” he told IGN.

The head of Saber Interactive did not release any other details about the game and did not mention a release schedule. However, it may be a while before The Knights of the Old Republic Remake is finally released.

Looking forward to this remake?
