The Galaxy A15 arrived on the market in two versions and after checking out what the 4G model has to offer, we have the 5G variant in our hands, with the promise of being the more complete of the two. Let’s check if this is really the best buy.

In terms of design, there isn’t much to comment on. They are practically identical in appearance and measurements, with the only difference being the plastic finish on the back, which is matte on the 5G model and smoother on the 4G. Even the colors are the same in both versions.

The Galaxy A15 5G comes with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. We have made good progress compared to its predecessor, whether in maximum brightness, contrast, colors or viewing angle. The sound part is still mono and even has powerful volume, but the audio quality is not pleasing.

It features the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, a renamed version of the Helio G99 with a 5G modem. Interestingly, it ended up being below the 4G version in our speed test, but it wins in some benchmarks. Don’t expect great performance in games, it is possible to run heavier games on medium without all the graphic details.

The 5,000 mAh battery also yields less, despite bringing a good jump compared to its predecessor. The A15 5G can provide 28 hours of autonomy in moderate use, which is still a very good time. The 15W charger takes almost 2 hours to recharge and charging up to 25W is supported.

Its photographic set is the same as the other variant and we have a 50 MP camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP macro camera. The A15 takes good daytime photos and doesn’t suffer in low-light locations. The 5G version camcorder also records in Full HD, but comes with better stabilization to deal with blur.

Is this version worth buying? If you insist on having 5G, then yes. The 4G model is practically the same and was even faster when multitasking and its battery lasted longer. Combined with the lower price, it could be a more interesting purchase. For more details, just check out the full analysis via the link below:
