Motorola Edge 50 Ultra appears in leaked videos with curved screen and water resistance

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is very close to being launched by the company in the high-end cell phone market. Recently, we had the opportunity to check out some details about the device’s design and, now, its appearance has been confirmed through a series of short videos.

These leaks were published by Evan Blass and they begin by showing the back of the model, which appears to have a matte back, as well as a prominent camera module and the brand’s logo slightly below, located in the central part. Other user posts reveal more about their screen.

As expected, the model’s panel will have curved sides and the videos, which appear to be excerpts from Motorola advertising pieces, highlight the color display and how reflective the product’s display is. Furthermore, the company appears to have implemented very thin edges on the top and interior of the device.

It is also worth mentioning that one of these videos also shows the person removing the model from the water, signaling that it will have a certification that guarantees protection against liquid. The Edge 50 Ultra is expected to launch in three colors, with the black color having a vegan leather finish. Likewise, the device will have a version in the Pantone color of the year 2024: Peach Fuzz.

The technical specifications have not yet been confirmed, but it is speculated that the cell phone will be equipped with an OLED screen, in addition to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Regarding photography, the model should have a 50 MP main sensor and a telephoto zoom of 5x, plus laser autofocus support.

The launch must take place on the day April 3.

Motorola is preparing to launch several cell phones, but in addition to the already leaked Edge 50 Pro, today we have information about the Edge 50 Ultra, one of the most complete smartphones that will be launched in 2024 by the company.

The images and technical specifications were obtained by AndroidHeadlines through reliable sources. This model should also be announced in China, but under the name Motorola X50 Pro.

What draws the most attention to this model is its screen, which must be OLED (or pOLED) curved with very thin edges. Furthermore, this model must have the brand new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, already confirmed for the Moto X50 Ultra in China.

Another difference mentioned is the main camera system, which should consist of 50 megapixel sensors, including a telephoto with a focal length of 75mm with 5x optical zoom, as well as laser autofocus and triple LED flash.

Finally, the back design will be made of synthetic leather in black and Peach Fuzz, Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2024, while the gold version will have a brushed finish.

The Edge 50 Ultra is expected to be announced alongside the Edge 50 Fusion and Edge 50 Pro on April 3 for a price of approximately US$999.
