Globo journalist simulates call-up of the Brazilian team and leaves medallion out

Dorival Júnior calls up players this Friday (10) who will defend the Brazilian team in the Copa América. Sports commentator for Globo, Pedro Moreno used social media to choose his favorites for the tournament. The journalist left names out, such as Casemiro and Richarlison.

– Richarlison and Casemiro were left out. In the absence of André, who is injured and would be on my list, I would take another striker. If there is a possibility of having Beraldo in the group, I think it is important to take him. Defender with enormous potential to have a career with the national team. Despite not doing well against Spain and in the final stretch of the Champions League, he arrived very well in Europe. Murilo is also a good memory, but the dispute is great – he wrote.

Casemiro is one of the main names on the Brazilian team in recent years, having played in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups as a starter. The 32-year-old player, however, is not having a great time wearing a Manchester United shirt.

The Copa América starts on June 20th. Before that, at the beginning of next month, the Brazilian team takes the field to play friendlies against Mexico and the United States. Dorival’s call-up takes place at the CBF headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, from 12pm.
