The first champions of the 39th edition of the Unisanta Games will be known this Friday night (10), at table tennis. The sport will have all matches held at Clube dos Ingleses, in José Menino. Furthermore, futsal, football and basketball are other attractions on the fourth day of competitions. The matches are scheduled to start at 7pm.
The Multisport Gym only hosts men’s futsal matches, they are: Negócios Esamc x Psicologia Unisanta; Unisanta Law x Fefis Unimes; Fefesp Unisanta x Psychology Esamc (game broadcast live on Santa Cecília TV); and Medicina Unoeste x Engenharia Federal Cubatão;
While men take Poli, women lead the actions at Ginásio Laerte Gonçalves with futsal. The matches are between Unisanta Engineering and Unisanta Dentistry; Unisanta Law and Esamc Law; Medicina São Judas and FaAC Unisanta; and Esamc Engineering and Unilus Medicine.
At the Training Center, football headquarters, the men’s category opens the night with the following disputes: Fefis Unimes x FaAC Unisanta (game shown on Santa Cecília TV); São Judas Medicine x Unisantos International Relations; Ed. Physics FPG x Veterinary Medicine Unimes. Unisanta Physiotherapy and Esamc Law close the program with the duel for the women.
A debutant at the Unisanta Games, Rebouças will once again be the stage for men’s basketball. Unisanta Psychology x Unisanta Physiotherapy; Unisanta Biology x Unisanta Administration; Unisanta Information Systems x Tecno Esamc; and Direito Unisantos x FaAC Unisanta are the games of the day.
Finally, the Clube dos Ingleses will host the only day of table tennis. The doors will open at 7pm for the accreditation of athletes and the competition for both categories (women’s and men’s) will begin at 8pm.
Biggest edition in history
The 39th Unisanta Games became the biggest edition in history with a record 46 participating colleges and more than 3,400 registered athletes. In the men’s category, there will be 2,324 athletes, while 1,114 participants represent women’s sports.
Throughout the competition, which continues until May 24, 16 sports will be played – a tournament record –, with 46 colleges registered in the men’s category and 38 in the women’s category. The sport most chosen by men was futsal, with 575 participants. The women defined volleyball as their sport, with 232 registered.
