In the third game of quarter-final series of the NBB, Flamengo defeated Fortaleza Basquete Cearense 82-68, away from home, and guaranteed their qualification to the tournament’s semi-finals. The Rio team reached the advanced stage of the competition for the sixth consecutive season. Now, they will face the winner of the duel between Bauru and Vasco da Gama, which, at the moment, is 2-1 for the São Paulo club.

The one who finished as Flamengo’s top scorer in the match was pivot Gabriel Jaú, with 16 points scored. Additionally, he also recorded four rebounds and one assist. Another highlight on the Rio side was shooting guard Didi, who scored 14 points, four rebounds and three assists. At Fortaleza, the best performance came from Douglas Nunes, who finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The dates for the semi-finals have not yet been defined.
Bauru beats Vasco and takes the lead in the series
In the other game of the day in the NBB knockout stage, Bauru Basket hosted R10 Score Vasco da Gama at Ginásio Panela de Pressão and defeated the opponent by a score of 67 to 59. American Dontrell Brite led the team on the court with 21 points , four rebounds, three recovered balls and two assists.
