The official opening of the Santos Surf Circuit 2024 will be this Thursday (9), at 6pm, at the headquarters of the Commercial Association, in the City Center.
The meeting will feature participating athletes, sponsors and authorities. The delivery of the kits will also be carried out along with the members’ cards, presentation of the tournament judging rules by technical director Daniel Miranda, announcement of the batteries on the screen and explanation by physiotherapist Guilherme Campos about the service that will be provided on the day of the event.
Another attraction will be the tribute to personalities and sponsors who collaborate with the sport. Mayor Rogério Santos, vice-president Renata Bravo and sports secretary Gelásio Fernandes are among those chosen. Santos icons in the history of Brazilian surfing, such as the brothers Picuruta and Almir Salazar, Cisco Araña, Renato Wanderley, Jair de Oliveira, Diniz Iozzi and Carlos Carmelo will also be praised
Also noteworthy are the CEO of TV Tribuna, Roberto Clemente Santini, as well as sponsors Sullivan Leite, José Augusto Pereira, Fuad Mansur, Sylvio and Adriano de Oliveira. The list also includes Diolanda Vaz, Eduardo Silva and Frederico Monteiro.
With three stages, the 2024 Santos Surf Circuit will feature nine categories: under-12, under-14, under-16 male and female, open (male and female), master and kahuna. The first stage is scheduled for this Saturday (11) and Sunday (12) in the waves in front of Posto 2, at Praia do José Menino.
The Santos Surf Circuit 2024 is organized by the Santos Surf Association with the Municipal Sports Secretariat of Santos City Hall, with Santos Brasil as presenter and official sponsor, through Promifae – Municipal Sports Support Tax Incentive Program. Sponsorships from Rubber Sticky, Natural Art and Silver Surf. Support from Fuwax, Surf Trunk, Pavani Quilhas, C-Four Shaper Supply, Surform, CNC House, MS Content, TV Tribuna and FMA Notícias.
