Corinthians idol, Neto made a curious promise this Tuesday. The presenter said he will present an edition of Owners of the Ball with the Palmeiras shirt amid fundraising for Rio Grande do Sul.

The former Timão player auctioned off an arch-rival shirt that belonged to former goalkeeper Velloso, current commentator on the program, who signed the uniform. The fundraising target is R$10,000, the amount of which will be allocated to support victims affected by the floods in the state in recent days.

Whoever buys the Palmeiras shirt, I’ll wear it and do a program with it. I want to see which presenter does this, who wears his rival’s shirt. Who has the courage to do that? Which presenter wears his rival’s shirt and is an idol of the team he supports?“, commented Neto.

To raise the money I wear the Palmeiras shirt. If it’s more than R$10,000, I’ll do the entire program wearing a Palmeiras shirt. If it weren’t for that I wouldn’t wear it, I won’t tell a lie. But I do this with greater pleasure”, he concluded.

In the midst of the catastrophe in Rio Grande do Sul, it is worth highlighting that Corinthians offered its facilities to the clubs in Rio Grande do Sul affected by the tragedy, in addition to showing solidarity with the local population. The movement occurred shortly after the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed the postponement of games for teams in the state that would take place until May 27th.

According to data from the Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Sul, the number of deaths rose to 95, while four other deaths are being investigated. In total, 131 are missing and 372 injured by floods and storms in the state.
