Medel attacked a young man at the base and fought with a leader, says the website < No Attack

Defender Medel’s status at Vasco has turned upside down. Coach Ramón Díaz’s captain didn’t even enter the field in the last two matches, when the team was under the command of interim Rafael Paiva. Against the Chilean, he attacked a young girl at the base and fought with a manager, as well as a bad relationship with his co-stars.

According to journalist Diogo Dantas, Medel came into conflict with Alexandre Mattos, former football director at Vasco and currently at Cruzeiro. The two argued, and the Chilean pointed the finger at the leader.

Ramón Díaz’s departure meant that the confusion involving Medel gained more repercussions. That’s because he was one of the former coach’s medallions. Now, Vasco’s board is trying to establish an agreement so that the player, who earns around R$800,000 per month, leaves the club in the middle of the year.

Vasco announced the signing of Medel in July 2023. Until then, the defender played 32 matches with the Cruz-Maltino shirt. Club and player have a contract until December this year.

Medel was a guaranteed figure in Ramón Díaz’s lineups. Since the coach’s departure on April 27, he has not entered the field. The person in charge of Vasco on an interim basis is Rafael Paiva.
