Referee Paulo Belence Alves dos Prazeres Filho reported protests from the club’s board of directors Santos in the rout over Guarani 4-1, at Vila Belmiro, in the third round of Series B of the Brazilian Championship, this Monday (06). The complaint from Peixe’s directors would have been due to defender Gil’s disallowed goal and the confirmed penalty against Bugre.

“After the disallowed goal of the Santos FC team and also after the penalty awarded in favor of the Guarani FC team, shouts were heard of
protests against the arbitration decisions coming from the stands. After the game we were informed by the FPF inspectors team that these
shouts came from the box destined for the board and presidency of the Santos FC team, this report is due to the match being
held with the gates closed. After the game, Mr. Alexandre Tadeu Gallo, representing the Santos FC team, appeared in the referee’s dressing room and, in a cordial and polite manner, asked the reason for the cancellation of his team’s goal due to being offside”, reported Paulo Pelence in the summary.

The match was played behind closed doors due to the punishment by the STJD (Superior Court of Sports Justice) of three games behind closed doors after a trial for incidents in Vila on December 6, in the defeat to Fortaleza, which decreed relegation. Due to the lack of an audience, it was easier to hear the ambient sound and Alvinegro’s complaints.

Santos’ football coordinator, Alexandre Gallo, managed to escape punishment from the TJD (Sports Justice Court) for complaints with arbitration twice. Interestingly, in games against Red Bull Bragantino in Paulistão. In the group stage he complained about the additions at Nabi Abi Chedid and on semi-final questioned the expulsion of full-back Hayner at the Neo Química Arena.
