Brazilian beach handball team meets opponents in the opening stage of the World Tour | Sissy boy

Maricá – The Brazilian beach handball team met its male and female opponents in the Global Tour competitions. The competition, which marks the opening stage of the World Circuit season, will take place this Wednesday and run until Sunday on the sands of Maricá, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro. Champion of the event in 2023 in the city in both suits, Brazil seeks to lift the cup once again.

Brazil will play four games on the opening day of the Global Tour. The women’s team faces Puerto Rico and Uruguay, at 9 am and 8:20 pm, respectively, while the men’s team faces the United States, at 9:50 am, and Argentina at the end of the first day of competitions, at 9:20 pm. Check out the full table below. The director of beach handball at the Brazilian Handball Confederation (CBHb), Gulliver Esteves, planned the start of the competition.

“We in Brazil are very happy to start the Global Tour against a new team, like Puerto Rico, which is qualified for the World Championship, in China, and is in the ascendancy. The first stage of the World Circuit will be in the arena being set up on Avenida João Saldanha, between 2nd and 3rd streets, in Barra de Maricá. There are two stages: the first will consist of a main sand court, measuring 42×32, and a grandstand with capacity for 1,500 people, in addition to 27 rooms, four changing rooms, seven bathrooms and showers. The second phase, expected to be delivered next semester, will include another court, 13 rooms, a museum with the history of beach handball, a gym, medical and physiotherapy areas, a food court, a dressing room and a stage.

The Global Tour – in addition to Brazil, will feature the participation of seven other countries – is organized by the International Handball Federation (IHF), in partnership with the Brazilian Handball Confederation (CBHb), Municipal Development Company (Codemar) and the city’s Department of Sports and Leisure.
