The coach Abel Ferreira spoke again at the press conference regarding the request for the president Leila Pereira not sell the main jewels of the Palm trees after another great performance by Stephenthis time in 2-0 victory against Cuiabá, this Sunday (5), at Arena Pantanal.
“As long as I can, I will enjoy them (Endrick, Estêvão and Luis Guilherme). I always tell Leila not to sell, but it’s impossible”, said the Portuguese with a laugh during the press conference. Soon after, Abel made a point of mentioning the most experienced names in the cast.
“More than anything, we enjoy them without forgetting the other more experienced names who give them comfort. It’s everyone’s job. I’m happy to participate in their training. Be absolutely sure that our group is very important to these boys.”
Amidst the praise, Abel Ferreira spoke again about “the kids going to Disney”, meaning that it is necessary for them to take advantage of their youth and not let themselves be carried away by “pressure imposed by the press and businesspeople”, something mentioned by the Portuguese in the interview.
“This is joint work. I’m the coach and you’re the reporters. I choose the moment to go to Disney. Estêvão turned 17 not a week ago, and I talked about him. Ayrton Senna wanted to go to Disney and couldn’t go. When I spoke about Endrick, many did not have the vision and depth of what I meant.”
“I’m here as a coach to help them not only as an athlete, but as men. The better men they are, the better athletes they will be. I can’t separate. That’s what going to Disney means, being happy, not having the pressure from the press, from the businessman, and when you go through it without a structured family… it’s first forming the man and then the athlete”, explained the Portuguese.
