Bahia defeated Botafogo 2-1, this Sunday (5), at the Nilton Santos Stadium, for the 5th round of the Brasileirão. Everaldo opened the scoring for Tricolor, Jeffinho equalized the duel, but Rafael Ratão defined the triumph for the visitors.
With the result, Bahia reached 10 points and took second place in the Brazilian Championship. On the other hand, Glorioso remains with nine points, but fell to 4th place in the competition.
Botafogo returns to the field on Wednesday (8) and faces LDU, in the 4th round of the Libertadores group stage. On the other hand, Bahia will only play again next weekend against RB Bragantino, in the Brasileirão.
