Heading to Colombia for game for the South American, midfielder Matheus Pereira was barely able to enjoy his birthday, this Sunday (5), and was ‘at the mercy’ of the trip. Meanwhile, in Belo Horizonte, the date was a reason for celebration, cake and smiles for a young Cruzeiro fan.
On social media, Mariana (@imaribrba) published photos of how her younger sister made a point of celebrating the special date for the celestial star. According to her, the girl, just 11 years old, spent the morning focused in the kitchen to prepare the cake – with chocolate frosting – to celebrate May 5th.
The fan’s dedication caught the attention of Matheus Pereira, who responded to the post: “How cute lol A special hug for her! Take this opportunity to thank the entire Blue Nation for the congratulations. We’re together (sic).” Cruzeiro’s official profile also reacted to the party: “Your sister is Cabulosa!”

Cruzeiro traveled towards Colombia at around 2pm (Brasília time). The celestial team will face Alianza-COL this Tuesday (7), in the fourth round of the group stage of the South American Cup. The ball rolls for the clash at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Armando Maestre Pavajeau Stadium, in Valledupar.
