How lucky Limeira is to have a professional like Fabinho Bernardinho Cassiano at the head of volleyball. Today, our city has one of the biggest projects in Brazil in this modality. Limeira is becoming the national capital of grassroots volleyball.

This season alone, Fabinho is breaking the team record through the 1st Set Project, in partnership with AABB.

There are five teams in the São Paulo Volleyball Federation (Under-17 men and women, Under-19 men and women and Under-21 men) and another nine in the leagues (Under-13, Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19, all for men and women, in addition to the men’s U21).

Limeira also has 12 initiation classes, distributed across the following neighborhoods: Parque Hipólito, Santa Eulália, Ipanema, Piratininga, Sesi, Patrulheiros, AABB and Santo André.

“I’m happy, motivated and very excited. There are a lot of people working on this project, from athletes to parents. Our teachers are committed and our sponsors believe in us. We have a common objective, which is to make the athletes’ dreams come true”, commented Fabinho.

At the beginning of the month, AABB promoted an official presentation event for the 14 teams and the new uniforms. More than 500 people gathered.
The women’s Under-19 team made its debut in the São Paulo Federation this Thursday and lost to Barueri (Project by José Roberto Guimarães), away from home, by 3 sets to 0, partials of 25/20, 25/17 and 25 /19.
