The pilot market Formula 1 for the 2025 season catches fire, but the fate of Adrian Newey also became one of the biggest question marks in the category, especially after his departure from Red Bull became official this week.

Rumors suggest that the ‘F1 wizard’ could land at Ferrari, but now a new (old) team can count on the Brit’s services. A Williams also entered the race and is negotiating his return to the team he was part of from 1991 to 1996, according to the website RacingNews360.

The publication also reveals that Newey is reluctant to move to Italy at this point in his life. The mission to hire the 65-year-old designer has been undertaken by the team leader himself, James Vowles.

Under Newey’s technical stewardship, Williams won the constructors’ titles between 1992 and 1994 and again in 1996, although he was placed on license before a move to McLaren in the latter. Furthermore, Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill and Alain Prost were driver champions in the team during this same period.
