On his Instagram page, Paulo Coco said goodbye to Praia Clube. In the message, he said that he leaves the Uberlândia team with a broken heart, but with a feeling of duty accomplished.

The former coach defined his period at the club as intense years and that the unprecedented titles and unforgettable moments will never leave his memory.

Read Paulo Coco’s message:

I leave Dentil/Praia Clube with a heavy heart and a feeling of accomplishment. These were years of hard work, passion, fulfillment, dedication, friendship and commitment.

I hope to have contributed to the growth of this incredible project that has become a reference in Brazilian volleyball.

Together we won unprecedented titles and experienced unforgettable moments that will never leave my memory.

These were intense years, built with the participation of many people.

I thank everyone at Praia Clube; presidents, directors, managers, administrators, sports companions, collaborators, partners and employees.

The support of the Arcom family was fundamental. Without them, none of this would have been possible.

A warm thank you to the entire population of Uberlândia; mayor, public managers and, mainly, the fans who have always been on our side.

To conclude, a special thank you to everyone on the team; management, supervision, logistics, members of all CTs and all the athletes who were the protagonists of this process.

Thank you for being by my side, believing in your work, accepting the challenges and dedicating yourself day to day in an intense work routine.

I wish you much success and achievements!

Last Friday, Paulo Coco confirmed to reporter Gleudo Fonseca, from TV Integração, that he left the technical command of Praia Clube . The coach said he received the invitation before the quarter-finals of the Women’s Superliga and informed Praia Clube before facing Sesc-Flamengo, in the semi-final.

Praia Clube, according to the coach, had the intention of renewing, but negotiations did not progress. Right after the final against Minas, he spent the day talking to his wife, and decided to accept the proposal to go to the United States.

On Monday, one day after the defeat in the Superliga decision, he met with the Praia Clube board and it was decided, after a meeting with the Sports Manager at Praia Clube, André Lellis, and the volleyball supervisor, Bruno Vilela , that he would leave the club.
