In search of a coach after Paulo Coco left for North American volleyball, Praia Clube consulted the situation of Stefano Lavarini. The Italian, however, told the Itatiaia who did not agree to open negotiations because he already had other plans for next season.

The coach also confirmed that he is leaving Turkey. Last season, he became champion of the national tournament with Fenerbahçe.

Without revealing which club his next career will be, Lavarini is focused on the Paris Olympic Games. The Italian will lead Poland in the biggest sporting event in the world.

In contact made by the Itatiaia report, Praia informed that it does not comment on possible hirings. Paulo Coco said goodbye to the Uberlândia club this Thursday (2).

Stefano Lavarini

The Italian coach became known in Brazil for his winning work at Minas. Under the coach’s command, the Belo Horizonte team won the Women’s Super League 2018/2019, in addition to two South American Championships and a Copa Brasil.

After leaving Minas, Lavarini returned to Italian volleyball before managing Fenerbahce in Türkiye. He also played for the Korean National Team before joining the Polish National Team.
