A SAF of Botafogo was activated in justice per debts with players, coaches and businesspeople totaling R$20 million. In total, there are 13 lawsuits filed by a law firm, reported “GE” this Thursday (2/5).
The debts refer to commission for intermediaries, participation in economic rights, severance and labor funds, unpaid solidarity mechanism, image rights and gloves.
According to “GE”, the charges occur in the Labor Court, FIFA and the National Chamber for Dispute Resolution (CNRD), which currently has nine cases open.
– Of overdue installments, we have approximately R$7.7 million just in transfer funds and commissions. The value of the installments that are still due exceeds R$20 million. We are talking about 13 lawsuits, some at CNRD, some labor and others at FIFA – explained lawyer Aldo Giovani Kurle.
– You speak to the club’s departments and everyone avoids a more forceful response. Their argument is always “we are waiting for some funds to come in”. And we wait, but they still don’t pay anyone. I have more than 25 years in this sports area and I have never seen a default like this, for me – he added.
Among the debts, there are some that concern players who are still at the club. Botafogo was approached by “GE” to comment on the situation, but has not yet taken a position.
