Chelsea is preparing to enter the competition to sign striker Estevão, formerly of Cruzeiro, who is currently at Palmeiras. The London team would be willing to make a fixed offer of R$164 million for the player, with another R$136 million in stipulated goals. In total, the Blues can pay R$300 million for the Verdão athlete. The news was first given by Uol.
In fact, this is not the first time that Chelsea has been interested in the Palestine jewel. At the beginning of the year, the English even made an offer for the attacking midfielder, when he was still competing in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. However, the proposal did not please the Palmeiras board.
After the Copinha, Estevão became a professional at Palmeiras and, after a while, began to become a regular on Abel Ferreira’s team. Last Monday (29), he started against São Paulo, at MorumBIS, for the Brazilian Championship. Furthermore, the boy is the third youngest to score with the black and white shirt, behind only Endrick and Heitor.
Treated at the Football Academy as “Messinho”, Estevão, aged 17, has a contract valid until 2026 with Palmeiras, where he made his professional debut in 2023. He was revealed by Cruzeiro, in 2015, while still playing for the Under-15s.
In total, he played 11 official games and scored one goal under the command of Abel Ferreira. Furthermore, he is a frequent name in Brazil’s youth team squads. However, if he actually ends up involved in a negotiation, he cannot leave Verdão until April 2025, when he will turn 18.
