Left-back Matheus Bidu, formerly of Cruzeiro, and currently at Corinthians, committed a gaffe this Saturday (27/4), when publishing art from the game between Corinthians and Fluminense. Teams face each other this Sunday (284/), at 4pm, at Neo Química Arena, in the fourth round of Series A of the Brazilian Championship.

In the traditional pre-game publication, Bidu posted art with a photo and a Corinthians shield in the background. However, the design contained the emblem of “Corinthians Cabeçuda”, an amateur team from the city of Laguna, in Santa Catarina.

The art quickly spread on social media and the publication was the subject of jokes among fans. The player returned to Instagram to explain the situation and soon deleted the wrong post.

According to Bidu, the post was made by the marketing team. As soon as he found out about the mistake, from his wife and friends, he deleted the art. The athlete apologized to the fans. The marketing company also came forward and took responsibility for the gaffe and highlighted that the full-back had no involvement in the matter.
