Champions of the Women’s Superliga, the Gerdau Minas players reacted to the Nyeme’s farewell post. Beloved by the squad, the 25-year-old libero must take a break from her career to try to become a mother.


Through social media, Nyeme said that the two seasons at Minas were the “best of his career”.

“When I arrived at Minas, I was so well received that I immediately felt at home. Hugged, loved, cared for by everyone who was by my side. So much joy and so much honor in having spent two years of my life, without a doubt the best, with you! Thank you for your love for me! Minas, fans, thank you so much for always being by my side! Minas, my home, my favorite team,” she published.

In the comments, some of the team’s athletes said goodbye to Nyeme and praised the player.

“You remember what I said, right? We have a deal! I love you, my servant!” said Pri Daroit.

American setter Jenna Gray declared herself and wrote “I love you”. Likewise, Dominican winger Yonkaira Peña posted “I love you so much” and opposite Kisy wrote “I love you so much”.

Central Carol Gattaz, also leaving Minas and signed with Praia, was also moved by Nyeme’s farewell post. “I’m going to miss you!! I love you,” she posted.

Finally, central Rebeca Camile wrote “I love you goiabinha, you are light”.

Minas already has a replacement for Nyeme

With an eye on the 2024/2025 season, Minas already has a replacement defined for the position. Libero Kika, who played last season for Pinheiros, has an agreement to defend the Minas Gerais tennis team.

Nyeme’s career

Nyeme was born in Barra do Corda, Maranhão and began his career at Maranhão Vôlei. She played for ADC Bradesco, Barueri and Sesi Bauru before arriving at Minas for the 2022/23 season.

Reinforcements and renovations

Of the starters, Thaisa, Júlia Kudiess, Jenna Gray, Kisy, Peña and Pri Daroit have a contract to try to maintain the national title. Pri Daroit even vented on social media after the title. Thaisa also did the same after the conquest.

In addition to Kika, other reinforcements are already confirmed for the next season. Dutch Celeste Plak has an agreement with the Minastenista team. The opposite Amanda Marques is another who arrives in Belo Horizonte.
