Back at the helm of the Brazilian Men’s Volleyball Team, Bernardinho was caught in an unusual situation and reacted with good humor on social media.
In the images, initially published by central Lucão, the coach scrubs the court during the players’ activity at the Saquarema CT, in Rio de Janeiro, where the Brazilian team is preparing for the Nations League (see below).
“The group doesn’t give me rest. Making the crowd sweat and sweating with the squeegee. I already had more morale here”, joked the coach.
Brazil in the Volleyball Nations League
The Brazilian team performed this Monday (22/4) at the CBV training center, in Saquarema, in preparation for the Nations League. The season’s competition marks Bernardinho’s return to command of the team after eight years.
After the League of Nations, the Brazilian team will face the Olympic Games in Paris in the middle of the year.
“I’m back in Saquarema, practically taking command of the Men’s Team. We are starting work that, in the very short term, aims at the Paris Games”, commented Bernardinho.
“Part of the group is already here, with a lot of willingness and energy. The deadline is short and we have to do our best, in the best way possible. In parallel to this Paris project, which is so important, we have to look ahead, to the future, to the perpetuation of Brazil as a world volleyball powerhouse”, added the commander.
Of the 12 called up, eleven players are already participating in training in Saquarema. Brazil debuts in the Nations League on May 21, against Cuba, at Maracanãzinho, in Rio de Janeiro.
