Cruzeiro had to improvise in the 0-0 draw with Unión La Calera, this Tuesday (23/4), in the third round of Group B of the Copa Sudamericana. Due to Conmebol rules, Fernando Seabra is not able to sign summaries as Raposa’s coach. The coach does not have the CBF PRO license that would allow him to participate in international games.

For this reason, Moisés Moura is the one who was registered as Cruzeiro’s commander in the match, played at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile. The assistant was hired by the club on April 14 to complement Seabra’s commission.

Moisés is a former defender and already wore the Celeste shirt between 2005 and 2006. During this period, he was Minas Gerais champion once (2006), played 43 games and scored three goals. His debut as an assistant for Cruzeiro came in the 1-1 draw with Fortaleza, at Castelão, last Wednesday.

To coach Cruzeiro, Seabra had to be enrolled in another role

The way Cruzeiro found to circumvent Conmebol’s measure was to enroll Fernando Seabra as the team’s physical trainer. This way, the coach was able to stay on the sidelines of the field in the game against La Calera.
