Worth the rating! In a match valid for the second game of the quarterfinals of the Men’s Superliga, Vôlei Renata hosts Sada Cruzeiro and can guarantee its place in the semifinals of the tournament. The confrontation will take place this Thursday (4), at 6:30 pm, at Ginásio do Taquaral, located in the city of Campinas-SP. Furthermore, the duel will be broadcast live on SporTV 2.

Eighth placed in the classification phase, Vôlei Renata surprised in the first match of the Superliga playoffs. At Ginásio do Riachão, in Contagem-MG, the São Paulo team beat Cruzeiro by the score of 3 to 0 (25/19, 27/25 and 25/22) and came out ahead in the knockout phase of the competition. This was only the second defeat for the Minas Gerais team in the national league, where they finished the initial stage in the lead with 21 victories and just one setback. Argentine opposite Bruno Lima commanded the Campinas attack with 23 points scored.

Behind in the quarter-final series, Cruzeiro needs to win away from home to stay alive in the Superliga. Champion in the last two editions, the Minas Gerais club is looking for its ninth title in the competition, as it also reached the highest place on the podium in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. If Raposa manages to triumph in Campinas, the third and decisive clash will take place at Riachão, in Contagem, as the team had the best overall campaign.
